Department of transport- Traffic Officer Learnerships 2025

The Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety has announced 154 exciting learnership opportunities for aspiring Traffic Officer Learners. These learnerships will run for 12 months and offer a stipend of R67,675.56 per year.

Objectives

This is an equal opportunity initiative aimed at empowering South African youth, especially women and people from diverse racial backgrounds, in line with the department’s Employment Equity Plan. The programme is particularly encouraging applications from Whites, Coloureds, and Indians, while remaining open to all eligible applicants.

Available Positions by District:

• Capricorn: 31 positions

• Sekhukhune: 33 positions

• Mopani: 32 positions

• Vhembe: 31 positions

• Waterberg: 27 positions

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be a South African youth residing in the Limpopo Province.

• Commitment to complete the full 12-month programme.

• Passion for community safety and law enforcement.

This is a valuable opportunity for young South Africans to gain essential skills, practical training, and experience in traffic law enforcement while earning a stipend. Successful candidates will play a key role in ensuring safer roads and communities in Limpopo.
