Training Stipend: R4,500 per month
Post-Training Salary (Constable): R238,629 per annum (plus applicable benefits)
Training Details
Successful applicants will undergo a 21-month Basic Police Development Learning Programme, which includes:

Placement at a SAPS Training Academy in South Africa

Provision of meals, training gear, and accommodation
-
Medical aid benefits during the training phase
Upon successful completion, trainees will be permanently appointed as Constables.
Duties and Responsibilities
As fully functional police officials, duties will include:

Preventing and investigating crime

Maintaining public order and safety
-
Protecting the lives and property of citizens
-
Upholding and enforcing the law
Minimum Requirements

Be a South African citizen (documentary proof required)

Be aged between 18 and 35 years

Have a Grade 12 certificate or equivalent

Be proficient in English and one other official language

Be medically, mentally, and physically fit

Have no criminal record, no visible tattoos while in uniform, and not have been declared unfit to possess a firearm

Be prepared to undergo psychological, medical, integrity, and security clearance assessments

Be willing to serve anywhere in South Africa

Be prepared to take the oath of office and wear the SAPS uniform
