Ampath is excited to announce the opening of its 2025 Learnership Programme! This valuable opportunity offers aspiring healthcare professionals the chance to gain practical experience and contribute to improving healthcare in South Africa . Objectives 

Start your journey toward becoming a qualified Phlebotomy Technician with our 24-month, HPCSA-accredited training programme. Our programmes combine structured online learning with real-world clinical experience at Ampath Care Centers. You’ll gain vital skills in blood collection, laboratory procedures, and patient care while training in a high-demand, professional environment.

Programme Information:

• Training begins in late January 2026
• Training locations include Centurion (Gauteng) and Westridge (Durban, KZN)
• You’ll benefit from blended learning (Monday to Friday), combining online classes and in-person training, guided by experienced professionals.
• Upon successful completion, you’ll be eligible for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Phlebotomy Technician.

Requirements:

• Age: Under 35 (Youth development initiative)
• Education: Minimum 50% in Matric Mathematics/Math Literacy, Life Sciences/Biology, and English
• Current Grade 12 learners May apply using Grade 11 results
• Qualification Cap: No qualifications above NQF Level 4
• Technical requirements: Smart phone / device with stable internet connection for online learning
• This program is only open to South African citizens
