Anglo American Kolomela Mine Engineering Learnerships 2025

Are you passionate about engineering and looking for an opportunity to kickstart your career in the mining industry? Anglo American, through its Kumba Iron Ore division, is offering an exciting three-year Engineering Learnership Programme at Kolomela Mine in Postmasburg, Northern Cape.

This learnership provides young individuals in the Tsantsabane Municipality the chance to gain world-class training and practical experience in various engineering trades, setting the foundation for a successful career in mining.

What the Learnership Offers

Successful applicants will receive both institutional and on-the-job training across different engineering disciplines, including:

• Diesel Mechanic
• Instrumentation
• Fitter
• Boilermaker
• Auto Electrician
• Electrician
• Rigger
• Millwright

Learners will also receive a monthly stipend/allowance for the duration of the programme.

The structured three-year programme includes:

• 1st year: Institutional training at Sivos Technical Training Centre
• 2nd year: On-the-job/core training at Kolomela Mine
• 3rd year: Completion of a trade test

Minimum Requirements

To be considered, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Grade 12 certificate
• N2 certificate with four relevant subjects for the chosen trade
• For Millwright applicants: possession of a valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a medical job-fit assessment (RFA)

Location: Northern Cape.

Preference will be given to candidates between the ages of 18 and 35 who reside in the Tsantsabane Municipality.
