About the Programme

The Learner Fire Fighter Learnership is a fixed-term contract that combines structured classroom learning with on-the-job training. Successful learners will participate in workplace readiness activities, fitness assessments, and hands-on firefighting exercises while developing professional skills for a future career in the field.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this opportunity, applicants must have:

A National Senior Certificate (Matric) or equivalent, with passes in:

• Technical Mathematics / Mathematics
• English / Business English
• Technical / Physical Science

A Code B (or higher) driver’s licence

The ability to pass:

• A stress and fear assessment (heights, confined spaces, fire exposure)
• A firefighter fitness assessment
