About the Sasol Millwright Learnership

The Sasol Learner Artisan Millwright Learnership 2026 is a structured apprenticeship programme aligned with QCTO, SETA, and the National Artisan Moderation Board (NAMB). Learners receive hands-on training while working in real plant and mining environments.

This learnership combines:

  • Practical workplace training
  • Technical classroom learning
  • Ongoing mentorship and assessments

Successful learners may qualify as certified Millwright Artisans upon completion.

  • Sasolburg, Free State
  • Secunda, Mpumalanga

Key Duties and Training Areas

Learners will be trained in:

  • Plant and equipment maintenance
  • Mechanical and electrical fault-finding
  • Reading and using maintenance documentation
  • Safety management systems (IMS, risk assessments)
  • Emergency procedures and hazard identification
  • Housekeeping and waste management
  • Participating in toolbox talks, RCAs, and PDAs
  • Teamwork and workflow planning

Skills and Competencies Required

  • Strong willingness to learn
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to follow safety procedures
  • Problem-solving and planning skills
  • Team player with accountability

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the Sasol Learnership 2026, applicants must have:

  • Matric or N3 qualification
  • Passed Mathematics, Physical Science, and English
  • 0–1 year relevant experience (experience is an advantage)
  • Be willing to work in industrial and mining environments
