 About the Visual Merchandiser Learnership

This learnership is designed to equip unemployed youth with commercial skills, customer service experience, and merchandising knowledge needed in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry.

Learners will gain practical experience in:

  • Servicing retail customers
  • Implementing Coca-Cola merchandising standards
  • Supporting sales growth and brand visibility
  • Understanding consumer behaviour and sales processes

The role reports directly to an Account Developer and forms part of the broader sales and merchandising team.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

As an Unemployed Learner Visual Merchandiser, your responsibilities will include:

In-Store Execution & Merchandising

  • Executing daily call schedules at assigned bronze and tin outlets
  • Implementing visual merchandising standards and in-store displays
  • Ensuring correct stock rotation and product quality

Sales & Customer Support

  • Supporting customers with order placement via the MyCCBA platform
  • Assisting with promotional activities to increase brand visibility
  • Ensuring product availability and visibility using RED and iRED scorecard standards

Team Collaboration

  • Working closely with sales team members
  • Receiving coaching and performance feedback from the Sales Account Developer
  • Providing relief support when required by management

 Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the Coca-Cola Learnership 2026, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Grade 12 with Maths or Maths Literacy (minimum 40%)
  • Grade 12 English and a second language (minimum 40%)
  • South African citizen
  • Aged 18–35 years
  • Must be unemployed at the time of appointment
  • Must be available to work six days a week
  • No criminal or adverse credit record
  • Must not be studying or registered for another learnership
  • Must not have completed the same qualification previously
  • Employment Equity candidate

Advantageous:

  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Post-matric qualification in Sales & Marketing

  • Duration: 12 months
  • Credits Required: 120 credits
