About the Rand Water Learnership Programme

The purpose of this learnership is to equip learners with the theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and on-the-job experience required to perform effectively as a Procurement Officer.

A Procurement Officer plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient purchasing of goods and services, managing supplier relationships, and maintaining compliance with procurement standards and contracts.

Duties and Responsibilities

As part of the Rand Water Learnership Programme, successful candidates will:

• Develop and maintain operational procurement schedules.
• Manage supplier relationships and contracts effectively.
• Monitor and measure procurement performance.
• Attend classes and participate in discussions and projects.
• Complete all assignments, assessments, and a practical logbook to demonstrate understanding.

 Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the Rand Water Learnership 2025 / 2026, applicants must:

• Be unemployed and not enrolled in any other learnership or qualification.
• Have a Matric / Grade 12 certificate with Mathematics Literacy and English (minimum Level 4 in all subjects).
• Not hold any completed post-matric qualification.
• Be a South African citizen with a valid South African ID.
• Be between the ages of 18 and 35.
• Provide a SAQA / NLRD verification report (available on the SAQA website ).
