Are you a young South African passionate about road safety and community service? The City of Mbombela Municipality, located in Mpumalanga Province, is inviting applications from unemployed youth for its Traffic Officer Learnership Programme 2025.
This 12-month learnership offers a valuable opportunity to gain professional training in accordance with the National Road Traffic Act, Act 93 of 1996, preparing candidates for a career in traffic law enforcement.
Programme Overview
The Traffic Officer Learnership is designed to empower youth, improve public safety, and develop skilled traffic officers to serve the Mbombela community. Participants will receive both theoretical and practical training covering all aspects of traffic management, law enforcement, and road safety education.

- Learners will receive a monthly stipend of R6,500 during the 12-month training period.
- No additional benefits or allowances are included.

Key Responsibilities
Learners will:
- Receive structured training in traffic law enforcement.
- Participate in road safety education and community awareness programmes.
- Work under supervision while gaining hands-on experience in the field.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- A Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
- A valid driving license.
- Must be younger than 35 years old.
- No criminal record or pending cases.
- Must be physically fit and willing to undergo physical training.
- Must be a South African citizen and a permanent resident of the City of Mbombela.
- Provide Proof of Residence and Ward Number on the application form.
