Applications are invited from suitable applicants for the Amended Senior Certificate Learning programme. This NQF 4 programme aims to improve your Grade 12 qualification in preparation for further development opportunities. Upon completion of the programme learners will write the Umaluzi Grade 12 Senior Certificate
examination.

KEY RESULT AREAS:

The successful incumbents would be required to fulfill the following duties and responsibilities:
• Attend all classes and successfully complete the assessment at the end of training.
• Comply with all the legal and Mine safety standards and procedures.
• Develop skills to improve relations with colleagues.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: (Education & Experience)

The successful candidate must meet the following minimum criteria:
• Provide a complete Grade 11 report and an incomplete or complete Grade 12 certificate with at least
the following subjects:
– English (First Additional Language)
– Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy)
– Science
• Successfully obtain a Medical Fitness certificate on mine.
• Consideration for employment is subject to your SAPS Criminal Record and qualifications verification.
• Only candidates who successfully complete the pre-assessment for admission will be considered.

SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES:

• Teamwork, sound interpersonal skills and good work ethics
• Attention to detail.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

• Only applications from the Venetia Mine Labour Send Areas will be considered. Applicants are encouraged
to make use of the application points in their areas and not submit multiple application for a single role.

• Consideration will be given to the Company’s Employment Equity Policy.

1. A formal letter from the municipality or tribal council on an original letterhead confirming that the
applicant is from the local area.
2. A recently certified copy (not older than three months) of your latest exam results.
3. A recently certified copy of your ID document/ ID card- front as well as back
4. A motivational form/ letter/ document in which the learners completed the following questions
attached to the application:

• Why they did not complete their matric successfully?
• Which subjects they want to re do and why?
• A motivation of about 100-150 words as to why they should be considered for a place on the program.
