Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Mathematics, Physical Science and English (minimum 40%)
  • Must be medically fit to work in a high-risk environment
  • Strong interest in engineering and mining operations

2. 18.2 Engineering Learnerships

The Engineering Learnership Programme offers training in various artisan trades within the mining industry.

Available Trades

Successful applicants may train in one of the following trades:

  • Boilermaker
  • Fitter
  • Electrician
  • Auto Electrician
  • Instrumentation
  • Rigger
  • Diesel Mechanic

These trades are essential to mining operations and offer excellent long-term career prospects.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Full N2 Certificate with relevant Trade Theory subjects
  • Proficiency in English
