Nedbank YES Programme 2026

By |

Nedbank continues to play a leading role in tackling youth unemployment by participating in the Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme 2026. This opportunity is ideal for unemployed South African youth who are looking to gain valuable workplace experience, develop practical skills, and improve their chances of securing long-term employment.

Although often grouped with learnerships and internships, it is important to note that the Nedbank YES Programme is a work experience programme, not a learnership or internship. However, it remains one of the most impactful youth employment opportunities in South Africa.

What Is the YES Programme?

The Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme is a business-led partnership between government and the private sector. Its goal is to reduce youth unemployment by placing young people in real workplace environments where they can gain hands-on experience and develop job-ready skills.

Participants benefit from:

  • Skills development aligned to industry needs
  • Improved employability after programme completion

The programme focuses on preparing youth for future employment rather than offering formal classroom-based training.
