Respublica is inviting all suitable unemployed individuals to apply for their 2022/2023 learnership programme.

Purpose

Respublica is offering a Finance Learnership opportunity, with the aim of equipping the candidate with the necessary skills and workplace exposure needed for their future career.

The successful candidate will be based in the Finance Department at Respublica’s Head Office in Bryanston and will engage in aspects of Accounting. The learnership programme will run for 12 months, commencing in May 2022 and ending in April 2023.

Duration: 12 months

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensuring that electronic payment requisitions are prepared- Fusion with relevant supporting documents, for processing
• When required, processing procurement and acquiring quotations
• Ensuring financial records are maintained and that monthly accounts are prepared
• Ensuring ledger reconciliation to supporting documents are prepared
• Performing structured clearing of reconciling items
• Engaging in supplier creditor reconciliations
• Working closely with the finance team to ensure payments are settled in time
• Submitting all proof of payments to creditors
• Correctly allocating and paying transactions such as company credit cards and reimbursements
• Preparing for Audits
• Completing any other Ad-hoc accounting tasks

Minimum Requirements

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

• Must have completed Matric with Accounting as a subject OR National Certificate (NQF-4) in Bookkeeping
• Must be between the ages of 18 and 25 years old
• Must be computer literate
• Must have excellent numeracy skills
• Must have excellent communication skills (oral and written)
• Must be highly organised
• Must have excellent time management capabilities
