The programme provides full training in operating automated packaging equipment, maintaining high-quality production standards, and applying health and safety procedures in a real factory environment. Participants gain practical experience while completing structured learnership requirements.
Learnership Purpose
The primary goal of the Unilever Supply Chain Learnership is to train learners to package products using automated systems while ensuring:
- Strict adherence to health and safety regulations
- Consistent product and packaging quality
- Business and operational awareness
- Effective communication for coordination within production lines
- Fundamental mechanical maintenance understanding

Compensation

Key Responsibilities
As part of the Unilever Learnerships 2026 programme, participants will be expected to:
Operational Duties
- Conduct general line operations and cleaning tasks according to operational schedules.
- Perform pre‑start-up checks to ensure equipment and work areas meet safety and cleanliness standards.
- Monitor product and packaging quality, reporting any variations immediately.
- Identify process abnormalities and take corrective actions to prevent escalation.
- Prepare raw materials for production and ensure accurate usage.
Equipment and Safety
- Clean and maintain machinery as per manufacturer guidelines and site specifications.
- Uphold personal and team safety across all production activities.
- Contribute actively towards an eco‑efficient, sustainable work environment.
Learnership Requirements
- Complete all assessments, assignments, and logbook documentation.
