City Of Ekurhuleni: Constable Learnerships Programme 2020 – 2021

Selection Procedure:

  • Physical fitness
  • Manager Testing
  • Psychological examination (if applicable)
  • Medical examination
  • Complete English proficiency test (if applicable)
  • Fingers and titles will be confirmed.
  • Students will be on contract terms of training; Students are trained in the following things:
  • National and traffic laws, traffic matters, SAPS law, city bylaws, domestic violence law, community crime prevention, firearms training, etc.
  • You should be prepared for a lot of training, including hours.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Manage your official RSA identity document (certified copy must be attached)
  • Manage valid certificate for higher education / Grade 12 (certified copy must be included)
  • A valid driver’s license – at least code B (hand-delivered) (expired cards) (certified copy must be included)
  • No criminal or illegal activities were recorded
  • It has never been declared inappropriate to own a firearm under section 102, 103 or 104 of the Firearms Control Act 60/2000
  • Be proficient in English
  • Be Healthy, Physical, and Stable (Attach a Real Medical Certificate as Evidence, and Report Physical Fitness to Exercise)
  • You must be under 35 years
  • Be a South African citizen residing in the Ekurhuleni metropolitan area (Attach proof of residence and an affidavit confirming the address if the registered owner’s surname is different)
  • Applications will not be considered if the required attributes and documents are offline.

Applicants may be asked to submit proof of the NQF standard applied to the courses they have received.

If candidates are notified of the outcome of the application within eight weeks of the closing date, it must be considered unsuccessful.
